"the privilege of a lifetime is to become who you

truly are."

carl gustav jung

Living is a marvellous yet often arduous adventure. We begin our lives in wonder, curiosity and desire to explore. As time goes on, parental failures, social conditioning and psychological and emotional wounds begin to accumulate and most of us learn to disconnect from our feelings, our needs and even our identities. We lock away our True Self so that we won't feel disappointed, hurt or ashamed. We start doing what is required of us by our parents, peers, teachers, bosses and romantic partners. We build armours to hide our vulnerabilities and push the undesirable parts of ourselves deep into the shadow of our unconscious.

Sometimes we manage to get on and keep existing in a world that seems colourless at best and hostile at worst. Sometimes we resign ourselves to quiet desperation, other times we fall into a deep, chaotic crisis and living feels unbearable.

All of us, at some point, come face to face with some powerful questions. Who am I? What do I want? Why do I feel like something's wrong with me? How do I understand and cope with what's happened to me?

Deep inside of us we can find the answers. Therapy can provide a safe space where these questions can be explored, where denied feelings can be voiced, where disavowed parts of ourselves can be expressed.

Therapy

Whatever reasons have brought you here now, you are already taking a step forward on your journey of self discovery and healing. You may be struggling with anxiety, depression or a lack of direction in your life. Perhaps you are facing difficulties in your relationships or you seem to always end up in the same sort of situations and can't understand why. Maybe you have experienced traumatic events and are living with powerful demons. Perhaps something in your life doesn't feel right but you can't quite put your finger on what that is.

I can help you. As a psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist I can offer you a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space in which we can address whatever issues you're struggling with. Together we can journey into your inner world, make sense of your difficulties, find and create ways of coping, healing and thriving. My aim is to enable you to speak and live your own truth unapologetically.
